The main objectives of LGF are to enhance marching band culture in Denmark and to support the voluntary work with children and young people in Danish marching bands. LGF seeks to meet these objectives by: creating experiences with music for the band members and creating opportunities for cultivation of their musicality enhancing the interaction and friendships between marching bands offering educational activities for band leaders and members assisting and advising the member bands in the development and management of their individual bands LGF also seeks to create and promote international contacts and opportunities for international exchanges for marching bands. LGF is a member of the Danish Youth Counsel (DUF) and of the World Association of Marching Show Bands (WAMSB).
